40 Beauty Question Tag

The other day I saw this tag post and I thought it was a great idea to learn other people’s beauty and skin care routines. So I decided to do it.
It’s going to be a very long, long post and for that I apologize but I really hope you enjoy it and stick it out to the end.

SKINCARE

How many times do you wash your face daily?
Twice – I wash my face before I go to sleep and after I wake up.

What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo)
I have oily to combination skin. I am often very oily in my T-zone and this is where I suffer from acne.

What is your current facial wash?
Honestly I don’t have a set one I have differnet face washs in each house and in my house in the UK I have a different face wash in either bathroom, I’m a little face wash crazy if I’m honest.

Do you exfoliate?
Yes. But I don’t exfoliate as often as most people.

What brand do you use?
I don’t use a specific product but I exfoliate using my magnitone pulsar, it’s the new love of my life.

What moisturizer do you use?
Clarins Hydra-Matte Lotion for combination skin.

Do you have freckles?
Yes and I absolutely love them. They are especially visible in summer.

Do you use eye cream?
Nope, I absolutely hate it and feel like it makes everyone’s eyes puffy.

Do you or did you have acne prone skin?
I never had acne problems growing up. But I do have occasional minor breakouts from lack of sleep or anxiety.

Did you ever have to use Pro-active?
Nope and the adds drive me absolutely insane I always change the channel.

MAKE-UP

What foundation do you use?
I use  a mix of different foundations but my all-time favourite and go to foundation is MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation I absolutely love it.

How about concealer?
MAC select cover-up in NC 15.

Do you know your undertone colour?
Yes, my undertone colour is pink although a few people have tried to tell me it’s yellow but it’s really not.

What do you think of fake eyelashes?
They are beautiful. I personally have quite large collection of lashes.

Did you know that you are supposed to change your mascara every 3 months?
Yes. But this never happens for me, I always keep my mascaras for so long (shame on me).

What brand of mascara do you use?
Again I use so many different mascaras but my favourite would have to be Benefit They’re Real.

Sephora or MAC?
Both. I love Sephora but as most of you may know I am MAC obsessed.

Do you have a MAC Pro-card?
No not yet, but my application is in the post so I should receive it soon.

What makeup tools do you use in make-up application?
My fingers and countless brushes, mainly Real Technique and MAC (surprise, surprise)

Do you use make-up base/primer for the eyes?
Yes. Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion.

For the face?
Yes.  I use Benefit porefesional.

What is your favourite eye shadow (colour or shade)?
Nylon by MAC.

Do you use pencil or liquid eyeliner?
I use pencil and gel eyeliner. I feel liquid eyeliner can be too harsh and harder to control.

How often do you poke your eyes with an eyeliner pencil?
Ouch! Thank God I never do. Just be very careful when you apply them. It is your eyes you are dealing with.

What do you think of pigment eye shadows?
I like them for dramatic effects.

Do you use mineral makeup?
No I love full heavy coverage and I just don’t feel like mineral makeup gives me that.

What is your favourite lipstick?
It changes from time to time. However I have to say, the lipstick that cannot go wrong is MAC Hue.

How about lip gloss?
Honestly this changes every day.

What is your favourite blush to use?
Well Dressed by MAC.

Do you buy your makeup on ebay?
No never. For purchasing cosmetics, I don’t feel secure unless I see the real thing. I need to make a purchasing decision based on the swatches.

Do you like drugstore makeup?
I absolutely love drugstore makeup

Do you go to CCO’s? (Cosmetic company outlets)
No to be honest I’d never even heard of them before reading this tag.

Did you ever consider taking make-up classes?
Yes I am already a qualified MUA and I am currently studying in Brushstrokes academy in Sheperton Studios.

Are you clumsy in putting on makeup?
I think everybody is if you’re in a rush, so I always make sure I have extra time in hand to get ready before I step out of the house.

Name a makeup crime that you hate?
Foundation lines, please just blend it in.

Do you like colourful shades of makeup (lipstick, eye shadow) or neutral ones?
I like neutrals for most of the time. When I am going almost nude on my eyes, I like to have brighter lips to balance out the colours on my face.

Which celebrity always has great make up?
I am inspired by many looks and blend the elements together to create my own look.

If you could leave the house using just ONE make up item, what would you use?
Eye shadow to fill my eye brows: this will define the entire face and give it structure.

Could you ever leave the house without any makeup on?
In fact I do that a lot. I only apply makeup when I need to.

Do you think you look good even without any makeup on?
I am happy with how I look without any makeup, but I know I look better with some on.

In your opinion, what is the BEST makeup line?
MAC (surprise, surprise). They provide such substantial lines of shades and textures for face, lips and eyes. Honestly I just can’t get enough of MAC.

What do you think of Makeup?

For me make up is everything, it’s my love, my career and I like to think my life, I don’t think I could live without my makeup. I use makeup to enhance my features, not to change anything I already have.

Sex Bomb

Hello lovelies, today I'll be reviewing the first bath bomb I've ever tried, Lush's Sex Bomb. Actually called a bath ballistic but we all know it’s a bath bomb (why people use these funny names I will never understand). If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know Lush is brand that I have only recently started using (don’t ask me why because it’s absolutely gorgeous) and am now completely obsessed with.

Lush is a cruelty-free brand that focuses on making hand-made cosmetics, including bath products, lotions, and more recently colour cosmetics.

Ingredients:

Sodium Bicarbonate and Citric Acid-These are the ingredients used to get the bath bombs to fizz.

Soya Milk - Used to create a creamy and indulgent bath and as a skin softener.

Synthetic Musk - Lush say they only use synthetic musk because real musk comes from animal sources.

Jasmine Absolute-Often used in cosmetics but in some cultures it is used to ease depression, muscle complaints and stress related conditions.

Clary Sage Oil and Ylang Ylang Oil-Clary Sage is used for its fragrance. It is said to relax the mind and bring out deeper responses of our body. Ylang Ylang is also used for relaxation and stress relieving scents.

Titanium Dioxide- Aids colouration and opacity.

If you've ever gone into Lush, it’s very likely that you have tried “Sex Bomb”. If you are a Lush virgin like I was until very recently I highly recommend this being the first product you try, it’s one of their most popular bath bombs mainly because it’s absolutely huge, really pretty and packed with roses. It’s so girly and smells absolutely incredible.

So upon dropping it into the bath as you can imagine it’s a fizzing pink explosion, I love watching the bomb fizz away, and watching the turn lovely bright pink. You are immediately greeted by the beautiful floral smell of jasmine and a hint of rose. It’s an absolutely beautiful smell that stays in the bathroom for hours.

The bomb has little "rose petals" that when the bomb dissolves, they scatter themselves all over the bath; I thought this was such a cute touch.

When I left the tub, my skin felt more moisturised than it did before my bath and the scent of Jasmine lingered on my skin long after. It didn't linger strongly, but I could smell it myself if I gave my arm a sniff.
The jasmine scent is positively lovely, and I find it so relaxing.

 Pros:

The jasmine scent is wonderful and lingers long after your bath is over on both you and your bathroom.

It turns the bath a milky bright pink, but it doesn't stain the tub or leave a ring around it.

The bath water is very moisturizing both while you're in the bath and out, though I wouldn't skip moisturizer.
It's very luxurious feeling and a wonderful treat.

Cons:

It’s not often I say this but there is honestly nothing I dislike about this product. I just love it so much and would recommend it to anyone who is partial to a nice relaxing bath.

Have you tried the “Sex Bomb”, what Lush product is your favourite?

NARS Laguna Bronzer

Hi lovelies, today I thought I'd blog about a product I've only recently discovered which is Nars (very famous) Laguna Bronzer. I was lucky enough to receive this for my birthday (don’t we all just love birthdays)? I have to admit I’m really late jumping on the band wagon when it comes to this product because it seems like everyone has tried this product and there are dozens of reviews out there but when I love something as much as I love this I just have to share it with you.

I honestly can't even tell you how excited I am to finally own this product, when I opened it on the day of my birthday I squealed with excitement, no one could really understand why but I’m sure all of you understand and can appreciate my reaction.

I would say that this is one of the most talked about products you can find in the beauty world, everyone loves seems to love it and it is a must have staple in a lot of beauty gurus makeup bags.

I hate admitting this but this is actually my first ever  Nars product and let me tell you since having this in my life I have a wish list as long as my arm, I will definitely be hitting the Nars counter in Sephora hard when I got to the USA in April.

I have heard countless people moaning about how Nars packaging just gets messy, and yes it does and I've spent just as much time cleaning the packaging up with a baby wipe as I have with actually using it, but I still love the case it comes in, yes it's rubber but it feels sturdy and has a really nice big mirror in too so it's perfect for touch ups.

Nars says "Bronzing Powder creates the ultimate healthy glow. Diffused powders with golden shimmer create an all-over warmth or contour for the face perfect for creating or enhancing the look of tanned skin. Finely milled powders fills in lines and pores for smoother, more even looking complexion".

The bronzer contains tiny bits of glitter so it doesn't leave your face looking flat but equally doesn't leave your face looking like a disco ball (not a good look for anyone). And also it doesn't leave you looking really flat due to it being completely matte. It's just a really nice medium which leaves you skin kissed and glowing but also allows you to contour and look well and truly bronzed. Another amazing thing about this product is the colour, it’s a really universal shade and it's one of the only bronzers that really works and doesn't look too dark or muddy on my insanely pale complexion
This product just gives you the most natural sun kissed glow and you don't end up looking muddy or orange or fake, it's just an effortless bronzed glow.

Overall, I can say that this is probably one of my favourite beauty discoveries ever, I absolutely love it, and it works amazingly on my skin. I can't believe I waited so long to give this a go I know Nars is quite pricey but for me bronzer is one of those products that I don’t mind spending a lot of money on and the results of this one are absolutely incredible.

Have you tried Laguna bronzer, do you love it as much as I do?

The MAC Tag

I have recently see this tag floating round the blogsphere recently and honestly I feel like it's made for me, if you've been reading my blog for a while now you'll know I am super obsessed with everything MAC, I just can't get enough of it. My boyfriend always jokes that he's going to buy me a whole MAC store.
It's a fab way to see what people highly rate or absolutely slate when it comes to my favourite make-up brand, I have learned so much from reading other peoples and I hope that this can some way help you.

Disclaimer: I do not take any responsibility if after this you feel like running out to your nearest MAC store.

How long have you been using Mac?
Honestly it was my mum and dad that first got me into MAC I was probably about 14 when I started using it, I remember that special Christmas morning when I unwrapped the glorious black box from Santa and it's now in my blood, I'm obsessed and can't get enough of it.

What was your first Mac product?
My first Mac product was a lipstick in the shade Candy Yum Yum and to this day it's still a staple product in my kit, I feel like my lipstick collection is incomplete if Candy Yum Yum isn't in it.

What's your all time favourite Mac product?
Oh dear this one is a tough one, it would have to be they're eye shadows or lipsticks but please don't ask me to choose a single favourite shade because it's just impossible for me.

What's your least favourite Mac product?
It would have to be they're mascaras, don't get me wrong I still use Zoom Lash in my kit all the time but they just don't have the same wow factor for me that the other products do.

Do you own a Pro Card?
No, but I am in the process of applying for mine, it's all very exciting.

Your Mac foundation shade?
NW10 but in Summer time when I have a teeny tiny bit more colour it's NW15. Yes I am seriously pale.

Magnitone Pulsar. Worth the Hype?

I have now been using the Magnitone Pulsar for well over two weeks (sorry this post is so late but I have been really poorly) and in that time I have been using the Pulsar to cleanse every morning and every evening. Although a cleansing brush, the Magnitone Pulsar will ex foliate your skin due to the nature of the brush so I have discovered using a gel cleanser works best as it's not too harsh on the skin and there's no extra ex foliating particles (I wouldn't want to over ex foliate and damaged my skin). To use I apply my cleanser as usual and use the Pulsar in an upward movement. It doesn't feel abrasive when in use and it's quite a relaxing way to cleanse. The movement of the Pulsar works well to unsettle any trapped dirt, grime and make-up from my skin, removing it effectively.

For me, a cleansing brush is a fabulous step in your skincare routine, I will now be alternating and using this every other night or every few nights, as it's not something my skin needs every single day.

After use my skin is instantly softer and smoother to the touch and I have also noticed my normal skincare products (Clarins cleanser, toner and moisturiser which I have already done a full review on) working better since I started using the Pulsar. My skin is looking clearer and brighter  too.

I haven't used the body brush head as much as I should, it's insane how lazy I am when it comes to skin care on my body but I really am trying so hard to integrate it into my shower/bath time routine because I know my skin will benefit from it so much, I have also heard great things about it removing fake tan which is always a major plus.

Overall though, I'm really very impressed. You need to invest to see professional, long-lasting benefits. You will not be disappointed.

Have you tried the Pulsar, what are your thoughts?

21st Birthday Haul and Pictures

So as you may or may not know (as I haven't shut up about it) it was my birthday on Monday, Paddy's day for all my Irish readers (pretty big deal having your birthday on Paddy's day, my name really should be Patricia). I turned the big 21 it was all very exciting, really didn't want it all to end. I was supposed to be celebrating with my girls in the UK this week but unfortunately once again I have fallen ill so I messed up everyone's plans which makes me very sad.

I had a party on Saturday with all my family and friends it really was such a lovely night, my parents had the whole house decorated while I was out getting my hair and make-up done (a make-up artist getting her make-up done, weird I know but I just wanted to be able to relax and not have anything to stress and worry about). The party was a roaring success and everyone really enjoyed themselves (no drink taken at all). Then on Monday I went for a gorgeous meal with my family and boyfriend, I'm still full from it.
I recently asked on Twitter if you guys would be interested in a 21st birthday haul post and I got an amazing response so I decided to go ahead with it. These types of posts are my favourite kind to read (as I am nosey) and they're also one of my favourite to write so I hope you enjoy and maybe you'll get a few ideas of bits you might like to pick up, but before I start I really want to say that I am in no way bragging about what I got I am genuinely touched by the generosity of my friends and family and am so grateful for all my beautiful presents.  I really was so spoiled by everyone.

I'll start with my family first and my parents, they really did go all out on my presents and I'm really not sure exactly why I deserved what I got but in saying that I'm not complaining I am still in shock if I'm honest I'm sure it will hit be soon. Before my birthday came at all I knew my parents were giving me my mums diamond engagement ring it is absolutely stunning and I haven't taken it off since I got it. Unfortunately I need to get it sized because right now the only finger it fits on is my engagement finger so everyone thinks I'm getting married (don't think the boyfriend is too impressed) so I need to get it re-sized, they also bought me a trip to America for a week with my boyfriend which I couldn't be more excited about (serious amount of shopping to be done). But the biggest surprise of all was when I arrived to the airport and got picked up in my new coffe coloured Mini Country man to say I was surprised and and completely delighted is an understatement, I burst into tears and couldn't stop, i've never been so surprised and happy.

Next surprise was from my brother, unfortunately he lives in Thailand so I don't get to see him very often. I was told he wasn't coming home for my birthday because he was so busy with work and it was too expensive, obviously this really upset me but I got to grips with it, I arrived home from the airport still jumping around showing everyone my new car keys I turn around and who, standing there but my brother (once again I was in tears, I was a little emotional to say the least) my family are so good with surprises. As my brother paid for his flights home I really wasn't expecting anything else from him but he surprised me with  gorgeous "Heston Blumintal" style meal with chocolate tart and home made chocolates for desert (honestly it all tasted like heaven in my mouth). Absolutely gorgeous and I was absolutely touched.

Next was my sister she really spoiled me, she knows me really well so is always good at buying presents and with the help of my boyfriend they were like the dream team. So from my sister I got a gorgeous mint green Ted Baker bag, an aquamarine birth stone Pandora ring, 2 MAC lipsticks (because a girl never has too many), in the pink and sex bomb bath bombs from Lush, Monki sunglasses, a high waisted bikini (both perfect for my holidays), a beautiful 21st photo frame (I plan on putting a family photo from my party in) and dollars for my holidays.

Next my auntie, she is one of the most generous people I know, I love her like a second mum, she gave me 21 beautifully wrapped presents each with a little cracker taped on the outside with either bath salts or a bath bomb inside, this was a beautiful little bonus and made opening presents all the more exciting, it also meant each of the presents smelled absolutely gorgeous. So here goes, she got me "All good things" face wipes, exfoliater, moisturiser and face mask, cotton pads, cosmetic cotton buds (these thing are awesome, I've never seen them before but I will definitely be re-purchasing these for my kit), a skull mug and candle from Urban Outfitters (because I really can't get enough of skulls, anything to do with skulls and my auntie will pick it up for me), lucky charms cereal (my absolute favourite), Soap and Glory birthday box and Sit Tight (I've never seen this before and cant wait to start using it), a jar of strawberry fluff, Fast shampoo and conditioner (I've already used it twice and once I have given it a fair trial there will be a review of it on the blog), a Paper Chase screen cleaner, owl plasters (because owls are my absolute favourite), a love locket from Lush and 3 sex bombs ( the sex bombs came in a cool cylinder that I've never seen before, going to make iy so much easier to bring it back to the UK), a book (52 things to while you poo, this was obviously a jokey present and it really made me giggle), a little I love Ireland teddy ( she obviously had to buy me something Irish it was Paddy's day), 3 little cupcake glosses, a gorgeous kimono to wear over my bikini's on my holidays, 2 benefit play stick foundations for my kit, benefit porefessional, YSL Touche Clait, Nars Orgasm blush and Laguna Bronzer, Inglot brush cleanser, duraline, blush palette, powder palette and a 40 eye-shadow palette with 4 eye-shadows, finally she bought me a Tomas Sabo skull ring and matching bracelet, they are absolutely stunning. I know that is a lot more than 21 presents she wrapped a lot of things together.

Now to my boyfriend (my absolutely incredible boyfriend) again the boy absolutely spoiled me. Firstly before my birthday or party he brought me out shopping and bought me an outfit for my party, dinner with my family and my night out with my girls and a necklace and bag to go with each outfit, he also paid for me to get my tan, hair, make-up and nails done. On the night of my party his mummy walked in with a beautiful mint green cake topped with a Ted Baker make-up bag (to match the handbag my sister gave me), MAC make-up and brushes (again I cried). Then on my birthday he produced even more presents (crazy, crazy boy). They boy had a good read of my bog before he went shopping because he bought me so many lovely things from it, Sudocream, Vaseline spray and go, foundation, 5 acrylic lipstick holders, Her Clutter Box make-up storage, soap and glory gift set and solar powder, Rhiana perfume gift set (if you haven't smelled it do, it is absolutely gorgeous, a Yankee candle and 5 mini candles, Soleil De Tan De Chanel, a Tomas Sabo jewellery box and two charms for my bracelet, a lipstick and a skull and loads of sweets on top of all that all my favourites (even though I'm on a diet).

Then finally all the bits from my friends and family who came to the party, I got loads of beautiful jewellery, High Kings CD's, champagne, I tunes and app store gift cards, Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume,  a candle, handbag, guardian angel badge, a beautiful unicorn figurine, a dove gift set, a photograph of me and my girls and a signed make-up artist book.

Tom Ford Lipstick

When I first heard about Tom Ford's lipstick line I'll admit I was not that excited, I didn't really give it a second thought as I knew that I would never be able to afford to spend £35 on a lipstick, I find it hard enough handing over £15 for my beloved MAC lipstick, I also felt that I had satisfied my lipstick cravings (I have far too many lipsticks and lip products they are my addiction).

However recently when my mum who wears absolutely no makeup and normally HATES the feeling of lipstick on her lips started talking about purchasing a Tom Ford lipstick curiosity really got the better of me. I didn't know much about the products or the brand but I when mum decided to go to Harrords and try out one out I decided I would too and chose the colour Flamingo Pink. Mum and I decided the lipstick had to be something really special to justify £35, for me the real test was the colour, how well it applied and how it felt on the lips.

I am happy to say (although my mum’s wallet really isn't) that the Tom Ford lipstick in Flamingo Pink passed all mum and my tests with flying colours. The shade is one of those rare finds that once applied lights up my face, which is absolutely incredible (people are constantly telling me I’m so pale I look ill, no sorry I’m just naturally pale). Even if I am wearing no other makeup, one application of Flamingo Pink makes my skin look warmer and my eyes brighter. It's magic.

Even though it is a really vivid shade, I didn't feel the need to apply lip liner. It feels nice and creamy on the lips. However, it isn't creamy in the sense that it slides around as with some other brands, it stays in place on the lips and feels really comfortable.

Both my mum and I think they are worth their price. For me, they far surpass any of my other lipstick and they are the only ones that truly feel comfortable on my lips, wearing these you honestly forget that you’re even wearing anything on your lips.

Although I absolutely LOVE  the Tom Ford lipsticks, I still really can’t afford to spend £35 on  lipstick very often but fortunately for me my birthday is coming up and a few other shades have been added to my birthday wish list, hopefully I will be lucky enough to receive some.

Tom Ford Lipsticks are available for £35 each at Selfridges and Harrods, both online and in store.

Have you been lucky enough to try a Tom Ford lipstick, what’s your go to shade?

Magnitone Pulsar

Skincare is one of my biggest loves and having a good skincare routine has become very important for me. Especially since I started doing makeup and having more makeup than normal being put on my skin and taken off numerous times a day. (My skin really has been suffering and is in serious need of some TLC) Sometimes skincare products can carry a rather large price tag but I believe that where skincare is concerned, 99% of the time you receive the quality you pay for.

Ever since my mum got a Clarisonic and I was lucky enough to try it I had my heart set on one, but with a price range from £99-£179 it was far more than I could ever afford so it was left on my wish list and believed it would be staying there for good.

A couple of weeks ago I was approached to review a new skincare cleansing and toning system called the Magnitone Pulsar(£129.00)*.  Honestly I couldn’t reply to the email fast enough I knew I needed this little beauty in my life and couldn’t wait to receive it and get started.
Before I begin my review I wanted to mention my skin type and problem areas so you get an idea of what I want and look for in a product.

I have combination/oily skin, I am dry around my cheeks and forehead and unfortunately I’m ridiculously oily everywhere else (it’s the biggest pain in the bum). I have spots around my chin and the sides of my face,  and at times  I can find it difficult to find  products that actually benefit my skin and get rid of my unwanted spots, blemishes and red marks.

What is Magnitone Pulsar?
It is a daily skin cleansing and toning system for face & body to effectively cleanse, refresh and stimulate your skin, helping to give it a wonderful natural youthful glow. It is waterproof and can be used in the bath and shower and one quick charge (75 min) of the tool gives enough power for 3 weeks of everyday use.
I am not going to lie, the list of amazing benefits of using Magnitone Pulsar for just 7 Days made me super excited to get started.

1.       More effective deep cleansing and removal of impurities
2.       Can help to increase collagen level in skin
3.       Softer, smoother and clearer looking skin tone
4.       Noticeable increase in blood circulation to the skin
5.       Firmer, tighter feeling skin texture
6.       Helps reduce appearance of visible pores
7.       Can help diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
8.       Gentle exfoliation of dry skin for silkier arms and legs
9.       Helps reduce razor rash and irritation after hair removal
10.   Enhanced moisture and nutrient absorption of your regular skin products (SPF, self-tan, moisturizers).

The design of the brush is simple. The charging/docking station plugs into the wall and you can keep it on your bathroom shelf. The brush needs charging every 3-4 weeks if you use it daily, so you don't have to keep it plugged in. Magnitone Pulsar is super easy to use and comes with two buttons: the on/off button and a mode button to change speed settings.

The brush is designed for use on both the face and the body and has four cleansing modes to suit all skin types. The system is fully waterproof, which is great, especially for use over the body in the shower. The rubbery coating makes it really easy to grip and control, even when the system is wet.

There are four settings too choose from. Each mode works at a different speed:
  • Sensitive Setting, for sensitive skin, or sensitive areas of your face. Works best with the sensitive brush.
  •     Pulse Lift Massage Mode, this setting helps to improve blood circulation and I have been using it on scarred areas of my face and neck. It feels very pleasant and really stimulates the skin.
  • Exfoliate, I don't use this setting every day, only when I have to get rid of some dry patches or when my skin is looking a bit dull. I prefer using the sensitive mode for normal cleansing.
  • Deep Cleanse, I use this mode on my T-zone to get rid of all the impurities and reduce the size of pores.

Two brush heads are supplied with the system, one for use on the body, one for the face. You can also buy sensitive skin brushes which are a little softer. The brushes supplied are quite soft, but firm enough to give a good clean and exfoliate. When the brush is turned on the system uses electromagnetic technology and the brush head vibrates and pulses, in fact it oscillates 15,000 times a minute. The brush has a sort of suspension system to it, so it moves with the shape of your face.
Once my 7 days is up I will do a full review of the product including results and how I feel about it. I honestly can’t wait to get started.

Soap and Glory Marvelips

Today I'm reviewing "Marvelips" which is a double ended lip pencil which aims to shape and super size the lips. £8.43 at Boots and they currently have a 3 for 2 offer on. I’ll probably be going back for more although I really shouldn't; my wallet hates me right now.

One end is colour, the other is highlighter. On the back of the packet it gives instructions on how to apply but I didn't find that their technique worked for me. It advised to fill lips with colour then use the highlighter to pick out the middle of the lips for a pouty look. But this just made the highlighter end messy with lipstick which I really didn't like; anything messy is a big no no for me. You can see that the highlighter is actually quite glittery but I liked it. The texture is very silky and it’s easy to apply, I felt like it was moisturizing my lips which is always an extra bonus.

So I applied the highlighter first to the middle of the lips and the cupids bow then I outlined the lips with the coloured end and filled in my lips using a lipstick colour of my choice leaving some of the highlight showing through. This method really worked for me and I was extremely happy with the results. I don’t know that my lips look any fuller but I do love the highlighted look, for someone who’s normally quite self-conscious about their small lips this is a big deal.

As far as I’m aware this only comes in one colour which is a sort of dusky pink shade, fairly natural and great for every day wear. I've worn it quite a lot and now need to invest in a big fat sharpener for it since I definitely want to carry on using it. I love it. Very soft, silky and a beautiful colour. Just wish it lasted a bit longer.

Have you tried the Soap and Glory Marvelips, do you feel it gives you the look of a fuller pout?

TMI Tag

Yay it’s the weekend, happy Saturday beauties, does anyone else think this week seemed to go on forever. I’ve been really ill so maybe that’s why.

So recently I've seen quite a few bloggers doing a post on the TMI Hashtag so thought it would be a good way of you getting me to know as I am still pretty new to all this and of course if everyone else is I may as well have a go at it to, plus it looked like a really fun post to do. So here it goes.

Piercings / Tattoos
I have three tattoos one on my foot one on my wrist and one on the back of my neck so they are all pretty easily hidden; the first I got at 18 I was having a little bit of a rough time and I had always wanted a tattoo so I thought why not go for it, it’s a positive quote which really means a lot to me and is there to remind me where I have been and what I have gone through and where I am now, I wanted it from when I was 15/16 but my parents hated tattoos and piercings so I was never allowed get it, they were fairly angry when they saw it (I recommend no one get tattoos or piercings without your parents’ permission if your still underage, it doesn’t end well). The other one is at the back of my neck, it’s the word happiness in Sanskrit, again with me it’s all about the positivity and I love Sanskrit I think it’s beautiful. Finally my last tattoo is on my left foot and it’s a feather, I am not the most superstitious person by any means but any time I am missing someone that has passed away in my life or thinking about them I ALWAYS see a feather, whether it’s a picture or real thing (weird I know).
Piercings wow where do I start, I actually have a lot less than I used to but over the Summer I had to get my tonsils out so all my piercings had to come out and a lot closed up and I should didn’t have the money to get them redone. I have 6 in my left ear, 1 and a plug in my right ear, I have my lip and nose done and I also have the back of my neck done just above my tattoo.

How tall are you/How much do you weigh?
I'm 5"5 so I am fairly tall, in saying this my boyfriend towers over me at 6”5 so I still get to wear heels all the time, it’s a great excuse really, and I weigh......well I’m actually not going to tell you how much I weigh because this is something I’m really self conscious of but I have been working on it and in the gym (this may sound weird but I absolutely LOVE going to the gym)

Have you ever been in love?
Yes I have, well I’m actually going to rephrase that, and yes I am. I have been in a few long term relationships and always thought I was in love, turns out I really wasn’t. I didn’t really understand what love was but I now do and couldn’t be happier with my incredible boyfriend. Love you Cían.

Have you ever had a terrible breakup?
To be honest I think this is a bit of a silly question, I feel like all my break ups have been terrible. I don’t I have ever heard anyone say o yea our breakup was great I really enjoyed it.
